I like my "big salad" with lots of ingredients in small pieces. I'm going to order it right away!Deirdrenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2378633598138280069.post-20411174889450129532011-02-01T13:58:43.425-08:002011-02-01T13:58:43.425-08:00Amy, thank you! I grew up in Asia where the kitchen always had a rice cooker going on and wafts of jasmine rice coming out of the steaming lid. Even though I'm usually a make-it-from-scratch cook, the rice cooker is the only way I know how to make rice but then, I rarely make rice that's not Thai (jasmine or sticky) so maybe that's why I haven't had a major disaster yet. Thanks for the list Amy!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2378633598138280069.post-36526238443342134252011-02-01T09:23:36.118-08:002011-02-01T09:23:36.118-08:00I have found an invaluable use for a crock pot. Recently, I tried cooking them in my crock pot on high for a few hours, then on low for another few hours and every type of dried bean comes out perfectly! Dried garbanzos cooked in the crock pot get a little creamy. Add them to carmelized onions with a dash of aioli and you have a healthy, yummy, hearty side dish. It's a favorite recipe here in Spain!Hinshelwood Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05974059214258449446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2378633598138280069.post-41235385242991902272011-02-01T08:19:29.058-08:002011-02-01T08:19:29.058-08:00I just ordered the salad chopper, so now I'm e...I just ordered the salad chopper, so now I'm even more excited to get it!
